Hasselhoff fries my brain.

David Hasselhoff already maintains the reputation of being ‘the man’* but he only seems to exceed any expectations, if that is even possible, with the music video from his hit True Survivor from the Kung Fury soundtrack. I mean sure technology has creating limitless opportunities for artists nowadays but i can pretty much guarantee that no one knows quite how to pull off a video like this anymore. There is just so much going on throughout the 4.03 minutes that by the time it finishes, one is simply left staring at the screen wondering if what was witnessed was in fact a reality or some kind of sweet desirable dream.

Naturally, because of its relation in regards to the time frame of the 80s, there are few things that are compulsory which were of course delivered. Even before the music starts there are puns about guns, Marty McFly skateboards, Rambo style headgear and Hasselhoff surviving being in an airborn manically flipping car by exiting it, procuring a gun, shooting the aformentioned gun punners and landing in the splits while it all explodes in a glorious ball of fire behind him.

We are then introduced to a few other characters including a scantily clad viking wolf princess sporting a machine gun and pet wolf with some kind of eye condition, a computer hacker rocking a mullet and creepy pencil moustache, Hitler and his karate army, anarchist war mongerers in seriel killer hockey masks, transformer style robots, a viking giant and of course: Dinosaurs.

The clip includes a pretty sweet Kung fu battle against Hitlers army in the style of Tekken Tag and a kick-ass Keytar solo courtesy of the mullet wearing computer hacker. He even makes purple lightening bolts come out of it so you know he’s kinda good at playing that thing.

In the end, Hasslehoff and his Kung Fu prodigee make an exit on a dinosaur.
